We’d like to urge you to attend this event live, as it is a great opportunity to ask questions from our world-renowned presenters. Please remember that this event is held within the Central European Time zone (CET). FS Symposium offers several event types, as follows:

Open to all participants, these lectures deliver broad insights into motorsport-related topics, followed by a live Q&A with the speaker.

A lecture for smaller groups that focuses on a much narrower topic but allows a deeper investigation. Focused on conversation and collaboration with the presenter, questions are encouraged! In one time 5 technical sessions will run parallel during the delegated time slots.

Moderated panel bringing together experts to share diverse perspectives on Formula Student, motorsport, and the automotive industry.

Ever wanted to ask an engineer from professional racing series about your Formula Student design? Or maybe you’re interested in their path to Formula 1, WRC, IndyCar, or other top-level racing series? Then feel free to ask them in our Speakers’ corner, that’s a reception where you get to enjoy some delicious food and drinks in the company of all of our epic speakers. They are open for discussions, questions or even some casual chat, so you don’t want to miss this opportunity!

There are many ways to build a career in motorsport. Drawing on trackside engineering experience in IndyCar and Formula E, this talk looks at how different series, technical priorities, team structures, and responsibilities shape the work engineers do at and between events. These lessons help students think more practically about their own path into racing.

We’ll also examine emerging trends in CFD technology and walk through the entire workflow from CAD to CFD, including specific applications for Formula Student. FS Scrutineers - Ask the Scrutis [TS2.1.]
Many teams have questions about scrutineering and the requirements their cars need to meet. These questions often arise during the development of the car, but also during the inspection at an event. In this session, scrutineers will answer questions about their work, the scrutineering process and other related topics. Participants can send in their questions in advance or ask them directly during the session. The discussion will focus on the topics that are most relevant to the participating teams.

You’ll learn how to build strong, lasting relationships with sponsors and develop unique communication strategies across social media and further digital platforms, helping you engage with your relevant audiences to ensure a stable foundation for your team.

Škoda Motorsport – Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 – Transmissions – design, development, validation, and testing [TS2.4.]
The presentation of Mr. Gnus will provide an overview of Škoda Motorsport and the development of the transmission system used in the Škoda Fabia RS Rally2. It will introduce the world of rallying, the technical concept of the vehicle, and the key drivetrain components that enable its performance. The presentation will also explain the engineering process behind component design, simulation, validation, laboratory testing, and real-world rally testing. Finally, it will highlight how the lessons learned in professional motorsport can be applied to Formula Student projects through systematic development and testing methodologies. The presentation of Mr. Borovička and Mr. Peča will introduce design solutions in the field of transmission systems. Using examples from the development of transmissions, the presentation will show how tests are prepared and how the testing itself is carried out on a test bench. It will introduce the cooperation between designers and test engineers and show the process each part must go through before being released into series production. Finally, it will focus on the connection of experience from serial development with the requirements for maximum performance and robustness in motorsport.

Race car setup has always been a critical part of race weekend preparation. With modern homologated race cars, Balance of Performance and closely matched tires, the performance differences between competing cars can be very small. As a result, the accuracy, repeatability and quality of the vehicle setup can have a significant influence on the performance of the car, driver and team. This course provides a structured understanding of race car setup, moving beyond the traditional “learning by doing” approach. Nimród Ludescher - Motorsport wiring/electronics practical [TS4.6.]
This motorsport wiring workshop will provide a focused introduction to the design principles behind professional wiring looms used in motorsport applications. This year’s edition places greater emphasis on the small things, like branching, sheating, and organizing data. The workshop will also introduce specialised software tools used in motorsport wiring design, giving students hands-on insight into modern design workflows. Laptops will be needed together with Rapidharness installed, and registered!
